Many toddler bowls and plates can easily be moved around by the child or are cumbersome to hold while we're trying to get our child's attention for just one more bite. And what happens when your child refuses to eat unless they can do it themselves? This was my dilemma so I was happy to have the chance to review The Baby Dipper.

ABOUT
Barbara Schantz is mom of twin girls (1 set) and twins boys (1 set), who faced the daunting task of feeding them. Barbara investigated, bought and tested many sets of feeding bowls but found she needed a bowl that required only one hand to successfully feed a baby. This mom's frustration led her to design the Baby Dipper.
- Contoured interior guides food to spoon
- Spoon fits in lower corner of bowl
- Non-slip base helps prevent sliding
- Transparent sides allow easy viewing of food
- BPA-free,lead-free, and phthalate-free
MY REVIEW
When The Baby Dipper bowl arrived I started trying to see what made it different from other children's feeding bowls. But before I could fully inspect everything my son insisted on "reviewing" the bowl for me. So I sat him down and let him "review" with dessert. As I watched him "review" the bowl I noticed the rubber base on the bottom of the bowl. This rubber base kept it from sliding around and allowed me to feeding my son with one hand. My other hand was free to play with a toy, keep a napkin handy or help my son as he tried to self feed.
I noticed the transparency of the bowl helped me to see how well my son was eating. The bowl is also sloped so spooning out the last little bits were made easier. Over all I was very impressed with the design and my son had no problem "reviewing" the Baby Dipper bowl... as you can see in the video. :)

I didn't think I'd have any problems since my mother and grandmother breastfeed. Yet when it was my turn to breastfeed, I had the emotional support but ironically I didn't have the technically support. It wasn't as easy as they said. So I had to read books, watch DVD's and speak with a lactation consultant about "how" to technically breastfeed.
